Vacation in the most beautiful high valley of the nature park south Black Forest
around the house...Bernau is an excellent area for walking, and cycling trips. Also a good base for day trips to Switzerland and France. Quite near are the cities of Freiburg, Basel, Zürich and Strasbourg, also the beautiful Lake Constance and the Rhine waterfall at Schaffhausen.
SummerSummer in Bernau is very relaxing for walks through the high Black Forest. There are plenty of activities for the more adventurous. Paragliding on the nearby hills, plus swimming, boating and windsurfing in the nearby lakes of Schluchsee and Titisee.
Winter
In the winter one can do skiing, sledge, or snowboard over the hills surrounding the village. There are also many other skiing areas nearby. Sledges can be hired from the hosts, all equipment for other activities can be hired in the village.
